what skin care products work best for oily skin?
what skin care products work best for oily skin? cleanser, toner, moisturizer, etc. and i also need a moisturizer with sunscreen for daytime.
If you are grown and experience oily skin, start looking at the products that you are using. The oiliness of your skin is attributed
to hormones and genetics, however, most people who experience very oily skin often have the problem from using too many chemical products. Your skin may be oily because it has been stripped of it’s natural moisture. You want to avoid ANY over the counter acne treatment or products for oily skin. These products are alcohol based and will strip your skin’s natural oils away. At this point, your body kicks into overdrive. Thinking that your skin is too dry, because the natural oils are gone, your brain tells your body to make more oil. This of course causes your skin to become more oily, and
the cycle never ends. The key to getting rid of oily skin is finding balance. Here’s what to do for oily skin:
1) Do not use over the counter acne products (no alcohol or Benzoyl Peroxide)- They will dry your skin causing over-stimulation of the oil glands.
2) Look for products that are natural and contain HIGH concentrations of aloe. It should be in the first 3 to 5 ingredients of any product you buy. **Aloette products are recommended.**
3) Start the following regimen:
*Cleanse with mild cleanser (preferably aloe based).
*Tone (The purpose of a toner is to act as the "rinse cycle" for your face. Everyone should use toner after washing the face to
remove any left over cleansers or dirt. Do not use a toner with alcohol in it. You can buy alcohol free toners or use witch hazel.
It’s the perfect natural toner for most skin types.)
*Nourish – Drink Water, take vitamins& zinc, and apply topical vitamin C to your skin.
* Moisturize – There is a difference in Oil and Moisture, your skin needs moisture to be healthy, A good vitamin C cream will
help kill bacteria too.
*Exfoliate – at least 2 times per week- DO NOT let dead skin cells build up on the surface and clog your pores.
What is a good acne treatment for oily skin that is fairly cheap?
My face is always so oily and recently I’ve been getting more zits, but my budget is a little tight. Any suggestions?
The most sought-after topical acne solutions are readily found over-the-counter. Though this is the case, you are still encouraged to visit your dermatologists. Benzoyl Peroxide is the most usual topical solution that is recommended to treat acne. It can be acquired in various formulations like gels, lotions, cleansers and creams. This medication is usually required to be used once or twice a day, depending on the condition of your problem. Skin inflammation or redness is one of the results of this topical solution but gradually diminishes through time.
Need reviews of Proactive skin care for oily skin with blackheads.?
Anyone have any experience with Proactive skin care? The reviews are very mixed, I have even heard that it will bleach your clothes? My daughter has very bad blackheads on her nose and has just now started getting pimples on her face. She has oily skin and even washing 2 times a day dose not help. Will this? Please tell me all of the good, bad and ugly before I spend any more money on worthless products. Thank you.
Proactive works great however with most over the counter products the minute you stop using it the acne and blackheads reappear. I recommend trying a few home remedies, For severely oily skin make an applesauce and oatmeal mask- add a little lemon or other acidic fruit as it will help dry out the skin, I also recommend Applying fresh lemon juice on the affected area overnight. Wash off with warm water next morning. For acne that hasn’t seemed to respond to anything: Use 2-3 teaspoons dried basil leaves to 1 cup boiling water. Steep 10-20 minutes. Cool, and apply with cotton ball.
Other things is to remove foods or limit foods with a high iodine level- Beef liver
Tortilla chips Kelp
Asparagus White onions
Butter Most shellfish, including shrimp
Broccoli Turkey (white meat)
Also remember that products that have an acne medication in them are made for times of breakout not for when the face is clear and may cause further breakout later. For more great home remedies you can go to the website below, we used it in school during our chapter on facials and everyone seemed to love the different recipes.

Tea Tree Facial Lotion
submitted by Monica
This is a rich, non-greasy lotion that you can use at night to hydrate, but it is also light enough to use under makeup in the morning. Emu oil has tons of great qualities including some anti-wrinkle properties, is a natural sunscreen, and is completely non-irritating, just to name a few. The tea tree oil in this recipe helps fight off blemishes. I have combination oily and dry skin and it’s great! Try it and enjoy!

1. Combine the emu oil, avocado butter, emulsifying wax in a heat safe glass bowl with a pour spout over hot water bath until wax is almost melted.
2. Combine water and aloe vera gel in a separate glass bowl over hot water until hot and aloe vera gel can easily be mixed into the water.
3. Add xanthan gum to water mix and then stir to combine.
4. Add oil/wax mix pouring slowly into water/aloe mix while blending with electric mixer at medium/low speed. Add tea tree oil.
