What is a good face lotion for oily skin?

Hello. I’m currently using eucerin which worked good at first, but now my skin is getting really oily and I started to break out. What is a good moisturizer that won’t make me have oily skin?

I love this recipe. I have oily skin and acne and it is really helping my skin!!

Tea Tree Facial Lotion

This is a rich, non-greasy lotion that you can use at night to hydrate, but it is also light enough to use under makeup in the morning. Emu oil has tons of great qualities including some anti-wrinkle properties, is a natural sunscreen, and is completely non-irritating, just to name a few. The tea tree oil in this recipe helps fight off blemishes. I have combination oily and dry skin and it’s great! Try it and enjoy!

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons aloe Vera Gel
1/8 cup emu oil
1 tablespoon avocado butter
1 cup distilled water
2 tablespoons emulsifying wax
1/8 teaspoon xanthan gum
6 drops tea tree essential oil

Blending Procedure:

1. Combine the emu oil, avocado butter, emulsifying wax in a heat safe glass bowl with a pour spout over hot water bath until wax is almost melted.

2. Combine water and aloe vera gel in a separate glass bowl over hot water until hot and aloe vera gel can easily be mixed into the water.

3. Add xanthan gum to water mix and then stir to combine.

4. Add oil/wax mix pouring slowly into water/aloe mix while blending with electric mixer at medium/low speed. Add tea tree oil.

5. Continue to blend until mixture is thickened and emulisified.

6. Pour into clean jars, allow to cool before you cap and label them.

7. Wash your face and pat to remove excess moisture. Gently massage Tea Tree Facial Lotion into your face. Use more for especially dry skin, less for normal to dry skin. Enjoy!

I love Clean & Clear products. Right now I use Clean & Clear Oil-Free Morning Burst shine control moisturizer. It works really well on all skin types. Plus it controls the shine and keeps your face super soft all day long. I definitely reccommend it to everyone.

Use Cetaphil. There are different kinds, I use the one with the green label. My skin breaks out if I just touch it, and this moisturizer works great. It’ll make your skin oily looking, so before you leave the house or whatever you’re doing, just wash it off (water + pat dry) Try the soap, too.

I use to have oily skin, but as I get older my skin as become dry/combination. I will only use Clinique. The dramatically different mosturizing gel is mosturizer for oily skin. The dramatically different mosturizing lotion is for dry/combination skin. Of course if you use the three step process it works best. I have always had problem skin my whole life. I was on accutane when I was 18. Clinique is the only skin care line that works for me, but everyone’s skin is different. Clinique is the one that makes your skin feel soft without feeling oily. Go to Clinique and talk to the salesperson, try the three step thing for a week. If you don’t like it you can bring it back. I have brought things back before I found the right one of their products. They will take their products back even if you have used them. Plus, their products last a long time. Much more than others I have tried from the local drugstore.

FYI- I have been seeing a dermatologist since I was 18 and now I am 27. I have probably been hundreds of times and to three different doctors, and all have told me over the years that your diet does not have that great affect on your skin. Chocolate or oily foods has a very very small percentage to contributing to bad skin. They will tell you that it is a combination of genetics, how you care for your skin, and just basically how much oil your glands produce. The urban legend of eating too much fried foods or chocolate is just that- an urban legend.
